D20 Foundation Grants for the 2026-27 School Year

The Academy School District Twenty Education Foundation is offering its 2026-27 round of grants to fund creative, student-focused learning opportunities. We invite you and/or a group of colleagues to develop an innovative idea and submit a proposal. Schools are encouraged to review proposals locally and submit the strongest ideas for consideration.

Grant Guidelines

• Grants will be awarded up to $3,000 per approved project.
• All grant proposals should be aligned to your school’s site-based action planning and accreditation process as well as clearly demonstrate a benefit for students. (If necessary, meet with your school administrator for clarification and support.)
• Feeder schools are encouraged to submit vertical articulation proposals.
• The following proposals ARE ACCEPTABLE: project-based learning proposals, computer software (such as student licenses or programs), creative student-focused equipment needs, honorariums for guest speakers, and technology projects. Recent examples have included: 3-D printer, Beehive, Reading Laboratory, STEM Lab Equipment, Heart Rate Monitors, Digital Cameras for students, and many others!
• The following proposals are NOT ACCEPTABLE:
  • multiple proposals contributing to a single large project
  • proposals which have already received a grant
  • computer hardware and appliances
  • classroom equipment and furniture
  • conference registration fees and field trips
  • food costs
  • FTE proposals or stipends for existing staff or substitute staff
  • items which could be covered under capital improvement (school budget) funds.

Foundation reviewers will evaluate applications from October 31-November 17, 2026. The Board is scheduled to review applications on Wednesday, November 18, 2026.

Grant recipients will be notified after Board review. Award presentations and delivery are planned for the 2 weeks prior to Winter Break (December 7-18).
