The D20 Education Foundation will award one D20 Education Foundation Career and Technical Education $5,000 Scholarship for students continuing their education in a Career and Technical Education (CTE) related field (medical technicians, automotive trades, construction trades, fabrication and manufacturing trades, IT and technology, law enforcement, etc.—careers requiring a two-year degree, industry certification, or trade school).
Criteria
- The student must be in a D20 high school (no out-of-district applicants, no charters).
- The student must demonstrate outstanding leadership.
- The student must have a 3.0 GPA or higher.
- The student must have participated in community service.
- The student must demonstrate exemplary qualities of character and integrity.
- The student must have actively participated in (2 years/4 semesters minimum) and/or completed career and technical education program(s) while in high school.
- The scholarship may only be used toward an American accredited two-year college or training program in a career and technical education field.
- The student must have not already received a full-ride scholarship or have applied for the D20 Education Foundation’s Academic or Future Educator Scholarships.
Application Requirements
- The student must complete the application and answer the essay question.
- The student must attach two signed letters of recommendation, one from a CTE teacher and one from a counselor.
- The student must submit a copy of their high school transcript from Infinite Campus (unofficial is acceptable).
- Only complete applications will be considered.
Timeline
- The application packet is due by Friday, April 12, 2024, at 4:00 p.m. Please submit via the MS Forms link, email, or hard copy. (See the application for specific instructions.)
- Finalists will be notified by April 19, 2024.
- Interviews will be held on April 24-26, 2024.
- Winners will be notified by May 3, 2024.
